I'm assuming they'll put up a good fight and something will happen where there will be interference, likely by JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley and/or Drew McIntyre pulling the trigger on his heel turn, and The Judgment Day will retain. I'm sure there will be plenty people thinking Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso are going to win those tag titles and that will propel the next part of The Bloodline's story forward. Well, at least it isn't another six-man tag, I guess. SLIGHT chance Damian Priest cashes in Money in the Bank after that. He moves on after to a new opponent for Crown Jewel. Otherwise, it's just a matter of Rollins retaining and that's it. ![]() But the possibility of that happening is one of the biggest question marks here. Granted, it wouldn't make sense in my mind for Priest to win the title right now after just winning the tag titles, and I don't know where the title scene would go from there, AND they just introduced this special briefcase, so it doesn't make sense to already get rid of it. Buuuuuut, they've done enough of an emphasis on Rollins having a bad back that if they want to pull the trigger on this, it would make sense. It doesn't need to be a brutal match like this. More interesting to me than the actual Rollins versus Nakamura situation is how this potentially sets up Damian Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Hey, at least it's a Last Man Standing match instead of just a regular singles match. Well, that's one way to milk a rushed feud for an extra full month and come back around to a rematch despite how the champion is the one wanting to fight his challenger again instead of the other way around. THOUGHTS: This was fine, but not a single thing that happened in it was memorable, and that's mostly what you can wish for with Last Man Standing matches.īe sure to join us live on YouTube after the show ends for the post-show review podcast! Shinsuke Nakamura RESULT: Seth Rollins retained. I'm glad Knight got the win for his team and the spotlight, though. THOUGHTS: Admittedly, this didn't capture my attention for a good chunk of this match. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa RESULT: John Cena and LA Knight won by pinfall (Knight pinned Uso) Tag Team Match: John Cena and LA Knight vs. THOUGHTS: They'll tell the story that since Asuka was tapping out to a Figure 8, Flair likely will get another title shot and win it from Iyo then after Bayley screws up and manages to be a detractor, rather than a helper. Charlotte Flair RESULT: Iyo Sky retained by pinfall over Flair. Triple Threat Match for WWE Women's Championship: Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits RESULT: LWO won by pinfall. Six-Man Tag Team Match: LWO (Carlito, Rey Mysterio, and Santos Escobar) vs. Cody as tag team champion can announce the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on Tuesday's NXT and maybe this is how they split the tag titles back to Raw and SmackDown again? I thought it was a lock the titles would stay where they were up until the other day, and then, started to feel like there might be a title change, but didn't commit to that prediction.
